Fan Fest
Was the best we could do to Celebrate the All star game in Arizona. There was no way we were gonna spend $350 a ticket for nose bleeds to the game or home run derby. So we decided to just go to Fan Fest. It's where they have tons of different baseball booths, free stuff, lots of stuff for the kids, Autographs by past players. Anyway there was a lot to see and do.
In line to do the Baseball Combine—they time you to see how fast you run around the bases, how fast you throw the ball etc...
Of course Ava will pose for me, and Gavin was to busy preparing mentally.

Even Ryan got to play!
Everything Gavin did, the workers would say "wow that kid is amazing for only being 2"
"He has such a great Arm" everyone was asking how old he was.
Most kids his age couldn't throw a ball, hit a ball or was as serious as Gavin was!
Coolest thing for Gavin—combine baseball with cars... couldn't be better!
Stealing bases
The Commissioner's Trophy
They had a lot of different trophies like the home run derby trophy, most stolen bases trophy etc.. but they were all in glass cases. But they had this one out so you could take pictures with it. But it was surround by guards. Making sure you don't touch it, break it, steal it whatever. So of course Ava had to touch it, and boy did those workers gasp, and say "don't touch it" like she was trying to steel it. Now Ava can always say she touched The Commissioner's Trophy !
Lots of Fun...
Maybe someday we'll be able to go to the All Star Game!
