It's that time of year again. The Hyde boys had to take one for the team and go toChicago
to see Da Bears play Da Packers. It was tough for all involved and we really didn't have any fun. At least that's what we tell the Woman back at home. So here's what we did.
"Cubs - Official Line Up - Cubs". That's what the guy selling the programs supposedly says. It sounded more like "Ma sha ma na Ma". Day one we went to see the Cubbies play the Cardinals in a game that didn't matter for either team but the place was still packed. I didn't know that the Cubs have a curse that's worse then the Red Sox curse used to be. They have a sign in right field that shows that they haven't won a World Series in over 100 years. I've been to a few MLB stadiums—Dodgers, Camden Yards, Angels, Diamond Backs, and Fenway. OK not Fenway but soon. This was the coolest stadium of all. We were so close to the players and the field just felt so much smaller.
This is the view we had from our seats. One of the coolest things about the stadium is the fact that they have bleachers on top of roofs in the outfield. How cool is that. Da Bears have a fight song. After the first touchdown they played it and we all couldn't breathe because we were laughing so hard. Inspiring really.
Da Bears and Cubbies won. We walked the halls, streets, and restrooms of Al Capone. We walked. We ate. We ate a lot of amazing food. I'm still recovering from my Argentine Steak that is making my mouth salivate at this time. It was that good and big. Chicago is really a great city. Thanks everyone who made it happend and we'll see you all next year in . . .
