Pumpkins

Halloween Night
Ryan was still gone, so the Nielsen's let us come hang out with them again.
We had dinner, the kids helped Eric make the "throwing up pumpkin" and they passed out Candy...to the 10 or so people who were out trick-or-treating.

Sweet Throwing up faces!

A few days after Halloween when Ryan came home, we finally got to Carve our Pumpkins.
We made a Cat Pumpkin and a Mickey Mouse Pumpkin with polka dots. (as you can see)
The kids of course loved them! I'm really glad we waited to carve our Pumpkins until our dad was home to help.

We had a very different October/Halloween Season.
• having warm weather
• not seeing all our family
• and our dad being gone
But i have to say we still had lots of Fun.
and we still Love
HALLOWEEN!
(Ava is already planning what she wants to be next year!)

Trunk or Treat

The night before Halloween we went with the Nielsen's to Eric's parents Ward Halloween Party and
Trunk or Treat.
(thanks again for letting me and the kids tag along with you guys!)

Gavin Loved those Dogs...
Dogs wearing Hats—Perfect for Gavin! Couldn't be Better!

London after eating her Cup Cake she won at the Cake Walk—I don't know what she got in her mouth cause it's all over her face! no worries... Amy's got the wipes! :)

We Decorated Eric's Car for the Trunk Or Treat.
So Spooky. There was even Halloween tones...like Monster Mash and thriller. So Sweet.

Such a cute Idea... we may have to steal that idea one year. The girl in the peanut costume would hold up a bowl of candy and the elephants trunk would pick a candy for you...i think they passed out Paydays—the Caramel and Peanuts candy. And they even had elephant carnival music playing.

Oh yeah and Gavin did not like it... he would cover his eyes.
The least scariest thing there!

But he did love the Candy...at the end of the night i found quite a few candies he chewed on while trying to get them open.

Such cute kids!

The three cute girls—they did all show up with wigs on but about 15 minutes into it they were off! i don't blame them…way too itchy. I did have to talk Ava out of not wearing the wig—I had to keep telling her she still looked like Jessie without the Wig!
And yes, Ava was excited to wear her costume once again! So Thank You!

Way Fun, but the only thing missing that night was our Dad...

Preschool Halloween Party

(Sweet Pose Ava)

Ava getting ready for her
School Halloween Party!
(I can't tell you enough how much i love her Preschool teacher—Mrs. Irene. She has been so amazing with Ava... I can't believe how much she knows and is learning. And it's so fun listening to Ava speak Spanish to us.)

These are the Cute Treats we made for her Class.
Boo Poo
— Get it?

And of course Gavin had to go put his boots on as well.
Do you see whats in the back ground—Football. and Yes it was about 8:45 in the morning... thanks goodness for Football On Demand with No Commercials!

And thank you Ava's Preschool for having a Halloween Party... Ava really needed another excuse to wear her Costume!

Ward Halloween Party

Our Ward Halloween Party was the week before Halloween.
Good thing, cause Ryan had to leave that week for work and missed Halloween... I know unthinkable! But I guess when you work with politics and the big election is 2 days after Halloween, what can you do! So at least he got some Halloween Festivities in.

Back to the Party—We Ate Dinner, Played Games, went on a Tractor Ride and went Trunk or Treating.
It was fun seeing everyone in there costumes... there were so many good ones.

I don't know if i would say Eric's was one of the "Good Ones" but definitely one of the "Funny Ones" (Amy why did you not dress like your husband?... would have been Great!)

Savvy a.k.a. Richard Simmons!
Ava thought it was Very Rude that they would dress her up as a Man!!
So Mean... but perfect Hair!

Great Halloween Party!
And again, thanks for another excuse for Ava to wear her Costume! She really Appreciated it!

Disney Dress Rehearsal

The weekend before Halloween the Disney Store was having a
Halloween Dress Rehearsal.
So we headed to the Scottsdale Mall to check it out.
They played a few games, watched a little movie, Played Freeze Dance, Did a little Parade around the mall and got some little toys and stickers (toy story stickers...perfect!)
It was very little but of course my kids loved it.

And yes, Gavin wanted everything in the Store—especially the Woody Doll.

Thanks Disney Store for giving Ava an Excuse to wear her Costume— She really appreciated it.
...Then it was off to Five Guys for dinner!

Woody and Jessie

So this year for halloween the kids were
Woody and Jessie
(as you can see) Ava was so excited and Loved every minute of it.
Ava came up with the idea in August, and with me having no ability to sew, we had to call in reinforcements... the Mimi. The master sewer! We asked her in August so she would have plenty of time and so she wouldn't stress about it. But i think she still did! (I'm so sorry)

Gavin's Costume
The Shirt— is from Polo cause we couldn't find a yellow one. But worked out Great cause now he wears it to Church and looks so cute! The Vest—Mimi made, even had a Woody on the back! The Hat—I found for a $1.00 and painted it brown and added the leather trim. The Boots—Nana found at DI. and The Belt Buckle and Big Buttons—I made out of Felt.

Ava's Costume
The Hat—we got that online. The Wig—was actually from our Ariel costume a couple of years ago. The Shirt and Chaps—Mimi made... amazing! Still can't believe she did that! I would love to know how to sew... but don't want take the time to learn how do it! The Boots—we got in Salt Lake at A. A. Callisters. The Big Buttons and Belt Buckle—I made out of felt.

I loved their Costumes! But most of all Ava loved it. She would just stand in front of the mirror and say "i really do look like Jessie!" So cute. I wonder why sometimes I put so much time (or make someone else put in so much time) into their Halloween Costumes. But then when I see my kids all dressed up and see the Big smiles on their faces.
It's totally worth it!

I Love— my Kids
I Love— their Costumes
I Love— halloween
and
I Love— all the People who Made it happen!

October Fun

To start off October fun we went to Olivia's
Fall Festival
at her school. But it didn't turn out like we planned! first we forgot that Ryan and Eric wouldn't be there cause of Priesthood Session— that means me and Amy by ourselves again with kids. Second we only lasted 20 minutes... cause a major Dust storm came threw. So bad that they put everything away. No blow ups + no Pony rides = No fun. The little girls got to do like 3 blow ups and Livy didn't get to do anything cause she was in line the whole time. So we got our Kettle Corn and went home. We were so sad.

Watching a movie on Sunday after Church— with mickey and minnie.
I love it when they play so Good with each other!

Don't know what it is but my kids love WIGS!

Eric got tickets to go see
Mickey's Magic Show!
Very Good... the kids loved it!
Even Gavin was so excited to see the Characters (makes me so excited to take him to Disneyland)

He is such a Cheese Ball!

Ava's Favorite part was when they made Jasmin float in the Air... they even put a hula hoop around her to show there was no Strings! How do they do that? Ava just kept saying
"Magic Happens!"

Thanks again Eric for getting the tickets!

And i just had to post this Picture— It makes Ryan SO proud!!
