Ava—The Soccer Player

Last week Ava had her
First Soccer Game!
We were a little nervous on how she would do... We weren't sure if she'd like it or not.
As we were getting her dressed she didn't like what she had to wear— not girly enough! She even asked Ryan if she could were a Bow... Ryan's reponse— "NO!...Soccer players don't wear Bows." Then she told me she was going to Pretend her shorts were a skirt.

Stretching before the Game. Effective!

When the whistle blew to start the game Ava took the ball all the way down the field and scored the first goal! We are so proud of her. I told her that she could have a toy if she scored a goal thinking my money was safe. After she scored she ran to the sideline and asked "when are we going to Toys-r-us"—oops

Ava just prances and skips around the ball. She's afraid of getting hit so she just stays back.
She's scored her goal so she thinks she's good now.

Ava practicing her throw-ins.

So Before the game they do a little Practice and she was supposed to kick the ball in front of her to the goal... but of course she had to run all the way to the other side so that she could kick the Pink Ball.

So far all of our Games have been so Cold... We really need some decent weather, cause playing (well watching) Soccer in the Cold is not Fun!

I love that she pretended her shorts were a skirt. She is so funny. I love how girly she is :). I remember watching my brothers games and it was always cold but I think I would take that over ours. We do soccer here in the fall and it is still 100 degrees plus!! The players get dehydrated. Seriously.
