While it's been over a week now that I have been a mother of 2 children—I don't know how to explain it but I have been feeling a mixture of totally overwhelmed and totally Bored. I guess not being able to get up and go whenever I want or not being able to get ready before lunch has made me (and Ava) a little crazy. I didn't realize how having 2 children would change almost everything. When Ryan is at work and it's just me and kids, I am totally out numbered, if Ava is not yelling at me to help her with something, then Gavin is crying needing to be feed or changed or just wants to be held. I feel Like I am always needed. And then there is my house, trying to keep it clean and organized so that when we do have visitors come over it doesn't look like a total disaster… and it doesn't help that I am totally OCD about everything being clean and looking the way it should before I can just sit down and relax.
WOW, I just sounded like I hate my life…
But really I am LOVING every minute of it. We have had so much fun with Gavin he is such a good baby! I can't complain about anything. His Sleeping at night is a Dream. He eats and poops around 11:30 and then is out until 4 and eats and poops again and is out again tell like 8:30 or 9. Some days even longer, it is SO nice. And everything else is just great and it is so fun and such a blessing to have such a cute little baby boy in our family.
How could you not LOVE him?

It was so funny reading your post because I also am in heaven with two kids, yet totally overwhelmed, and going stir crazy, and feeling always needed! It is quite the adjustment! He is such a cute baby!!! I think the first few months after having a baby are totally overwhelming no matter how many other children you have! It is just such a big change - I don't think I'm ready :).
Jamie! I am so excited for you guys! I have been so out of touch, we have been out of town and then I got pneumonia and I am still fighting it! I did not know you had delivered! He is darling and I can't wait to see him in real life. As soon as I get over this stuff I will call you and we want to come see him. We miss you!

Jamie--How are you doing? 2 kids seems like a lot to juggle, but I know you'll do great. Congratulations on little Gavin. He is so adorable. I love his little outfits! Jefferson was the same size--so hard to believe.

I think you make a great mom! I am sure that having a baby is a huge adjustment....I won't know personally, but that is what I have observed. He is super cute!

man that kid is cute. i agree about feeling needed/stuck in the house etc. i think that it is that way after you have a baby ( any number..) anyway. i do think it just gets better and better with time. he is adorable and so is ava! love you guys!

He is SOOOOO adorable! Ava looks so big now.
I would like to know how you get him to sleep for that long at night. It seems like my little girl chooses night time to be the most awake and alert :S
